The day that Emily and Nick had spent so much time preparing for, dawned bright and sunny. Although the venue had facilities to accommodate a wedding on a rainy day, it was nice to know we wouldn't need to use them. The high temperature was in the low 80's, with low humidity and a light breeze, about the best we could expect for mid-August.
The wedding was held at Bartram's Garden, in west Philadelphia. It could be best described as an oasis, surrounded by a dense urban neighborhood.
